I have purchased and installed two of the VAVA dash cams, one in my wife’s 2015 Buick Encore and the other in my 2015 Ram 1500. My wife’s car power supply port is switched and my trucks power supply port is not. I have not driven my truck in little over a week due to a unforeseen health condition. During that time the battery was drained in my truck to the point it would not start. So, what I have learned from this is I need to manually turn off my VAVA dash cam or find a switched power supply.
Hi @UncleTom. Thank you for sharing your experience. As long as the port where the VAVA Dashcam is connected provides continues power then the dashcam would continue to work. You just need to unplug the dashcam in this case.
